Your privacy is important to us at Premier Land Title Insurance Company (“Premier”). This Privacy Policy (the “Policy” or “Statement”) describes how we collect, use, disclose, and secure the personal information we gather about you through our website(s) and through our provision of services to you (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy supplements any information contained in other Premier Privacy Statement we may provide to you.
For purposes of this Statement, personal information has the same meaning as the terms personal information, personal data, personally identifiable information, or similar terms under applicable data privacy and security laws and regulations. It does not include data excluded or exempted from those laws and regulations, including but not limited to data subject to the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”). Nothing in this Statement will constitute an admission or evidence that any particular data privacy or information security law or regulation applies to Premier generally or in any specific context.

1. Collection of Information
We collect information about you that you provide to us directly, that we collect automatically when you interact with the Services, and that we receive from third parties related to your use of our Services. The categories of personal information that we may collect and the purposes for which we collect that information are described below. Please note that we may not collect each category of information from every user.
- Account Information, including name, email address, username, and password. We collect this information when you provide it directly to us. We collect this information for the purposes of account creation and management, advertising and marketing, analytics and research, customer service, and website security and maintenance.
- Analytics Information, which may include information that we collect automatically as you navigate our Services, such as that information collected through cookies and related online tracking technologies. We collect this information for the purposes of providing and improving the functionality of our website as well as better understanding the visitors to our website. See Section 3, below, for more information regarding our use of cookies and related tracking technologies.
- Contact Information, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, ad related information that we may use to contact you. This also includes any information regarding your communications with us. We process this information for the purpose of communicating with you directly, including providing email notifications, alerts, and updates.
- Commercial History, which may include information regarding the purchases you have made through our Services and any subscription information. We collect this information for the purposes of account creation and management, advertising and marketing, analytics and research, customer service, and website security and maintenance.
- Government Issued Identification, such as your drivers license, passport, or other information that may be necessary to verify your identity. We process this information to ensure compliance with applicable law and for identity verification purposes.
- Information regarding your use of our Services. Some information we collect and process about you may fall outside of the scope of this notice, such as information subject to the protections of the federal GLBA. - Other Information which We May Collect from Public Records or Our Affiliates. This may include information about your interests, purchases, or other information that may be relevant to our actual or potential provision of services to you.
2. How We May Disclose Your Information
We may disclose the personal information we collect about you for one or more of the following business purposes:
- For legal purposes. We reserve the right to cooperate with local, provincial, state, federal and international officials in any investigation requiring either personal information or reports about lawful of unlawful user activity on the Site. We also reserve the right to share your personal information to establish, exercise, or defend our legal and property rights, including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention. We may also share your personal information with any person who we reasonably believe may apply to a court or other competent authority for disclosure of that personal information where, in our reasonable opinion, such court or authority would be reasonably likely to order disclosure of that personal information.
- Business transactions or mergers. We reserve the right to share your personal information to third parties as part of any potential business or asset sale, merger, acquisition, investment, round of funding, or similar type of transaction. Additionally, if we are entering into a corporate transaction with a third party, we may receive personal information in connection with the diligence. If we close a transaction, the third party may transfer personal information, which we would use as described in this Policy.
- Bankruptcy or insolvency. In the event of bankruptcy, insolvency, or dissolution proceedings, we may share your personal information with third parties as part of the sale or reorganization process.
- Information from our partners. We may collect information from our partners such as market research firms and our affiliates, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control. We may combine that information with other information we collect about you, but we will always use the information as described in this Policy. We may also disclose your information to our affiliates and partners who provide discounted offerings directly relevant to your interactions with us. We collect this information for the purposes of marketing, advertising, research, and analytics.
- With your Consent. In the course of using our Services, you may consent to the sharing of your personal information with various third parties. Where we rely on your consent to share your personal information, we will disclose the categories of data and third party recipients at the time of obtaining your consent.
- With third-party service providers. From time to time, we may enter into arrangements with companies whose expertise is essential to the functionality of our Services. We may disclose to these service providers personal information necessary for them to provide services to us or on our behalf. We set some cookies ourselves and others are set by third parties. At this time, we do not implement any marketing or advertising cookies.
You may opt-out of cookies at any time by using the tools available through your browser. Please note that disabling certain cookies may negatively impact the functionality of our Site or Services.
There is currently no industry agreed-upon response to a Do Not Track signal. At this time, our Site does not respond differently based on a user’s Do Not Track signal. However, we take reasonable efforts to ensure that our Site complies with the opt-out requirements set forth under applicable law.
4. Advertising and Marketing Choice
We respect your rights in how your personal information is used and shared. With respect to marketing campaigns through text messaging, we will only contact you if you have provided your consent to be contacted (including by submitting a request for us to provide you with marketing communications). We will not share your mobile contact information with any third parties, excluding those third-party service providers helping us provide our marketing services, for marketing or promotional purposes, unless you request we share such information with a third party. We will only provide third-party service providers with the information necessary for them to provide marketing services on our behalf. We implement measures reasonably designed to limit the types and amount of information disclosed and contractually restrict such third-party service providers’ ability to use such information outside of performing services for us. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can email us at [email protected] or follow the instructions at the bottom of each email, and we will promptly remove you from future email marketing correspondence. You can unsubscribe from receiving text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any text message received. Please note, however, that we may still need to contact you regarding other matters.
5. Data Retention
We will retain your personal information until the personal information is no longer necessary to accomplish the purpose for which it was provided. We may retain your personal information for longer periods for specific purposes to the extent that we are obliged to do so in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, to protect you, other people, and us from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access, as necessary to protect our legal rights, or for certain business requirements.
We will delete your personal information when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or upon your request, subject to exceptions as discussed in this Statement or under applicable law, contract, or regulation.
6. Data Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. We take various reasonable organizational, administrative, and technical measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. If required by law to do so, we will notify you and/or the relevant regulator in the event of a data breach.
However, we cannot and do not guarantee complete security, as it does not exist on the Internet.
7. Third Party Links and Embedded Content
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites. When we provide links, we do so only as a convenience and we are not responsible for any content of any third-party website or any links contained within. Additionally, we may provide embedded content, such as videos, on our websites. Although these videos are available through our website, they are actually hosted and provided by third parties. Such third parties may place cookies or related tracking devices on your systems when you view such embedded content.
It is important to note that this Statement only applies to our Services. We are not responsible and assume no responsibility for any personal information collected, stored, or used by any third party as a result of you visiting third-party websites or viewing embedded content. We also advise that you carefully read the privacy notice of any third-party websites you choose to visit.
8. Children
Our Services are not intended for children under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification or parental consent, we will immediately delete that information. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us using the form provided on the “Contact Us” page of this website.
9. California Specific Disclosures
If you are a California resident, you have certain rights with respect to the collection, use, transfer, and processing of your personal information, as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq., as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CRPA”) and implementing regulations.

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If we need to change this Policy at some point in the future, we will post any changes on this page. This Privacy Notice for California Residents supplements the information contained in the Privacy Statement of Premier Land Title Insurance Company (“Premier”) and applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or “you”). We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and any defined terms in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this notice.
Note: The majority (if not all) of the information collected about you by Premier will fall into the exclusion for sector-specific privacy laws (specifically GLBA and HIPAA). To the extent Premier collects information about you which is not subject to exception or exclusion under the CCPA, the following Privacy Notice applies.
Information We Collect:
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably by linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (“personal information”). In particular, we have collected the following categories of personal information from consumers within the last twelve (12) months:

Personal Information Does Not Include:
- Publicly available information from government records
- Deidentified or aggregated consumer information
- Information excluded from the CCPA’s scope, like:
- Health or medical information covered by the Health Insurance Portability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the California Confidential of Medical Information Act (CMIA) or clinical trial data
- Personal information covered by certain sector-specific privacy laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) or the California Financial Information Privacy Act (FIPA) and the Drivers Privacy Protection Act of 1994
We obtain the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources:
- Directly from our customers or their agents. For example, from the documents that our customers provide to use related to the products and or services for which they have engaged us.
- Indirectly from our customers or their agents. For example, through information we collect from our customers in the course of providing products and or services to them.
- Directly and indirectly from activity on our websites. For example, from submission through our website portal or website usage details collected automatically.
- From our Service Providers and third-parties that interact with us in connection with the products and services we provide. For example, a third-party administrator that provides claims services to customers on our behalf.
Use of Personal Information:
We may use or disclose the personal information we collect for one or more of the following business purposes:
- To fulfill or meet the reason for which the information was provided.
- To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us.
- To provide you with email alerts and other notices concerning our products or services.
- To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collections.
- To improve our website and present its contents to you.
- For testing, research, analysis, and product development.
- As necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our customers and others.
- To respond to law enforcement requests as required by applicable law, court order or governmental regulations.
- As described to you when collecting your personal information or as otherwise set forth in the CCPA.
- To evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all our assets, whether as a going concern or a part of a bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by us is among the assets transferred.
We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use the personal information we collected for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.
Sharing Personal Information:
We may disclose your personal information to third-party for a business purpose. When we disclose personal information for a business purpose, we enter a contract that describes the purposes and required the recipient to both keep that personal information confidential and not use it for any purpose except performing the contract.
In the preceding (12) months, we have disclosed the following categories of personal information for a business purpose:
- Category A: Identifiers
- Category B: Personal information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code 1798.80(e))
- Category C: Protected classification characteristics under California or Federal law
- Category D: Commercial information
- Category I: Professional or employment-related information

- Third parties to whom you or your agents authorize us to disclose your personal information in connection with products or services we provide to you.
IN THE PRECEDING TWELVE (12) MONTHS, WE HAVE NOT SOLD ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Your Rights and Choices
Non-Discrimination:
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not:
- Deny you goods or services.
- Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties.
- Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services.
- Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
The CCPA provides consumers (California residents) with specific rights regarding their personal information. This section describes your CCPA rights and explains how to exercise those rights.
Access to Specific Information and Data Portability Rights
You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose to you:
- The categories of personal information we collected about you.
- The categories of sources for the personal information we collected about you.
- Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that personal information.
- The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information.
- The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (also called a data portability request).
- If we sold or disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, two separate lists disclosing:
- sales, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient purchased;
- and disclosures for a business purpose, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient obtained.
Deletion Request Rights
You have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies.
We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to:
- Complete the transaction for which we collected the personal information, provide a good or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform our contract with you.
- Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.
- Debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
- Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their free speech rights, or exercise another right provided for by law.
- Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 seq.).
- Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when the information’s deletion may likely render impossible or seriously impair the research’s achievement, if you previously provided informed consent.
- Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with us.
- Comply with a legal obligation.
- Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.
Exercising Access, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights
To exercise the access, data portability, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by:

Only you or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.
You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. The verifiable consumer request must:
- Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative.
- Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request.
Response Timing and Format
We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding the verifiable consumer request’s receipt. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.
We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.
Changes to Our Privacy Notice
We reserve the right to amend this privacy notice at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes to this privacy notice, we will notify you by email or through a notice on our website homepage.
